Summary of Position
Support the JCPOS Trails and Natural Resources Teams by reclaiming existing and developing unauthorized trails and assisting with ecological restoration projects in our parks.
Duties
Represent JCPOS by being a visible and approachable presence in assigned area
Inform visitors about unauthorized trail closures and restoration goals
Monitor ongoing restoration sites and identify further needs for reclamation
Requirements
Be in good physical condition
Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on varied terrain
Complete a background check prior to working with park visitors
Trail maintenance/construction training is provided on day of project
Volunteers must abide by JCPOS Park Regulations and established volunteer policies and procedures outlined in the JCPOS Volunteer Handbook
