Board Member - Board of Directors - Cat Rescue

Must be 18+ and a U.S. citizen.

First and foremost, this organization is still in its infancy. There will be some growing pains and learning experiences for all involved, myself included. I am looking for patient and passionate individuals looking to make an impact, both for themselves and their community. This opportunity is perfect for those wanting to learn how to create their own business or simply for those wanting to give back to their community. It can serve as a role to help give you purpose and meaning, or could be an opportunity to grow your skills and resume.

Primarily, I am looking for one or two more individuals who have the time, ability, and passion to commit to serving as a Board Member. Terms are up to one year, but may be shorter or longer depending on your comfort. A lack of experience should not be a deterrent. The traits I value most and am looking for in possible candidates include honesty, respect, and trust. You must also have patience and a desire to learn. Finally, you must be an efficient communicator and be flexible.

This should not be a significant time commitment. The major commitments are annuals meetings and any special meetings should something financially or legally significant occur. I hope to have a complete board and our first annual meeting by the end of the month, which I anticipate being the most time consuming process.

In addition, I am still looking for a Secretary. Thus, I need at least one more board member who is also willing to take on this officer role. The term and expectations is the same as that of a director laid out above. The role of the Secretary will be to record and verify board minutes, make notes, and potentially sign documents.
