    Content Creator

    Job Overview:

    As the Content Creator for the Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA), you will develop and execute engaging content strategies across various platforms to raise awareness about VPMMA's programs, resources, and events. Your creativity and storytelling abilities will help us connect with our target audience and expand our reach within the veteran and project management communities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop Engaging Content: Create compelling content, including blog posts, articles, social media updates, newsletters, website copy, and marketing materials.
    • Maintain a Consistent Brand Voice: Ensure all content aligns with VPMMA's brand guidelines and messaging.
    • Promote VPMMA Programs and Events: Develop and implement content strategies to promote workshops, mentorship programs, networking events, and other initiatives.
    • Manage Social Media Presence: Create and curate engaging social media content, monitor social media channels, and interact with followers.
    • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with the Deputy Director of Digital Marketing and other team members to ensure content aligns with overall organizational goals.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
    • Strong understanding of content marketing principles and best practices.
    • Experience creating content for various platforms (e.g., social media, websites, blogs).
    • Proficiency in social media management tools and techniques.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Passion for supporting veterans and their families.
    • Familiarity with project management concepts is a plus.

    Position Details:

    • Type: Volunteer
    • Location: Remote
    • Department: Marketing/Communications
    • Time Commitment: Volunteers should aim for 3-5 hours per week. We understand that some weeks may be less active due to holidays or vacations. Effective communication about your availability helps us remain flexible and ensures smooth operations.
    • Term Commitment: This position requires a one-year commitment to maintain consistency and effectiveness in our programs.
    • Reporting Structure:
      • Direct Report: Deputy Director of Digital Marketing
      • Alternate: VPMMA Chief of Staff (Volunteer Committee)
