Calling All Makers: Help build the next generation of makers at Rockwood Library makerspace

Multnomah County Library seeks creative volunteers to assist with the Rockwood Library makerspace (learn more about it here) The makerspace is a collaborative learning environment with an emphasis on middle and high school learners. The space provides access to innovative technology, equipment, software and supportive mentors. At the makerspace, we aim to inspire patrons to create - using their hands, provided tools and supplies, and imaginations! Volunteers and staff provide a welcoming environment so patrons are supported as they learn and create.

BIPOC community members and those fluent in languages other than English are encouraged to apply.

Time commitment: We ask volunteers to make a 6-month commitment to volunteering regularly once a week.

Available Shifts: We are currently looking for volunteers who can help once a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, or Saturdays.
