Role Overview
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Intern to help identify funding opportunities and support proposal development. You’ll work directly with the Program Director and learn the full grants lifecycle-from prospect research to submissions.
What You’ll Do
- Research private and corporate foundations aligned with mentoring, education, and capacity building
- Build and maintain a grants tracker (deadlines, requirements, contacts, status)
- Draft and edit components of LOIs/proposals (org background, need statements, outcomes)
- Gather attachments and compliance docs; prepare application portals
- Track impact metrics and success stories for reporting
- Join brief weekly check-ins; coordinate tasks in Asana
You Are
- Organized, curious, and comfortable with deadlines
- Strong writer/editor; can synthesize info clearly
- Familiar with Google Workspace; bonus: Asana/Excel or basic data tracking
- Student or early-career professional in nonprofit, education, public admin, social sciences, or communications (all backgrounds welcome)
Time Commitment & Duration
- 5-8 hours/week for 3-4 months (flexible scheduling)
- Fully remote; occasional Pacific Time coordination
