About Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable volunteer to provide in‑person companionship to an older adult living in a residential setting. The goal of this role is to offer friendly presence, conversation, and meaningful social connection.

What You’ll Do

• • Visit regularly for one‑on‑one companionship
  • Engage in friendly conversation
  • Participate in simple, enjoyable activities such as:
  • Listening to music
  • Playing board or card games
  • Reading aloud
  • Light crafts or puzzles
  • Help reduce isolation by offering consistency and warmth

Schedule

• • Flexible scheduling based on mutual availability
  • Typically, 1–2 hours per visit, weekly or bi‑weekly

Who We’re Looking For

• • Friendly, patient, and reliable individuals
  • Comfortably providing companionship in a residential environment
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Experience with older adults is welcome but not required

Requirements

• • Volunteer must be 18 years or older
  • Completion of volunteer onboarding (background check and health screening)
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
