Toms River Musicians - Bring the Power of Music to Holisticare Hospice Patients!

Did you know that live music can reduce stress, improve quality of life and decrease anxiety? At Holisticare Hospice we believe every patient deserves the joy of a live performance, but we need your support.

We are looking for passionate musicians/vocalists/instrumentalists to join Holisticare’s wonderful volunteer team! Whether you're a professional looking to give back or a student, your talent will directly impact patients within your community. We welcome professional musicians, music students, choir participants, college students, music teachers, board certified music therapists, band members, and more!

Specifics:

• • We offer flexible scheduling. If you can set aside a minimum of 2 hours per week that would be ideal.
  • You will be paired up to visit patients wherever they live, which could be at their homes, nursing homes, or assisted living spaces.
  • We offer comprehensive orientation and ongoing training, to prepare you for this wonderful opportunity.
  • Volunteers must be comfortable with playing or singing independently and be willing to learn new music to tailor your visit based on each patient’s musical preference.
  • This is an independent opportunity that requires musicians to supply and bring their own instruments and music to each visit.
  • Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and be able to make in-person visits only.
