Friendly Visitor (1:1 Visitor)
A Friendly Visitor interacts with residents in Broadmead’s higher levels of care neighborhoods: Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, and Memory Care to provide socialization and recreation.
Volunteers can interact with residents in a number of ways such as:
- conversing with a resident about their interests, the weather, etc.
- reading a newspaper, magazine, or book
- playing cards checkers or other games
- participating with the resident in Lifestyle program
Reports to: Kirsten Oudin, Volunteer Coordinator
Time Commitment: At least 2 hours per week

Instrucciones:
The volunteer application includes a background check or 2 references, dependent on the age of the volunteer. An interview will follow and potentially lead to a tour and orientation/training session. The whole process can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks before volunteering begins.
