Give the Gift of Compassion and Honor to those in Hospice (Clermont)

Are you looking to make a meaningful difference in someone's life? Join us as a Hospice Companionship Volunteer or Pen Pal and bring comfort, connection, and compassion to those in their final journey.

We are seeking dedicated volunteers to provide emotional support and companionship to hospice patients, including veterans, through in-person visits and heartfelt letters.

No experience needed. Must be able to pass a background check.

Roles Available

Companionship Volunteer (In-Person):

• Visit patients in their homes or care facilities
• Offer conversation, read aloud, play music, or simply sit in peaceful presence
• Provide comfort and reduce feelings of isolation

Pen Pal Volunteer (Remote):

• Write thoughtful letters to patients who enjoy receiving mail
• Share stories, encouragement, and kindness from afar
• Ideal for volunteers who prefer remote engagement

Veteran-to-Veteran Companion:

• Connect with fellow veterans receiving hospice care
• Share camaraderie, honor their service, and offer a listening ear
• Conduct Pinning Ceremonies
• Veteran volunteers especially encouraged to apply
