Volunteer Companion Needed (In-Person)
Do you enjoy meaningful conversation and building connections with older adults? We are seeking a compassionate volunteer to spend time with an older adult living in a residential care setting in the Kent area.
What You'll Do
- Visit weekly or biweekly between
- Provide friendly companionship and social connection
- Engage in conversation and active listening
- Spend time outdoors together on a patio or porch when weather permits
- Help reduce social isolation through consistent visits
Volunteer Qualities
- Friendly, patient, and dependable
- Enjoys building relationships and conversation
- Comfortable interacting with older adults
- Able to commit to regular visits
Location
- Adult family home in the Kent, Washington area
Time Commitment
- Flexible scheduling based on volunteer availability and participant preference
- In-person visits preferred
