The Volunteer Associate Medical Officer (AMO) functions as a medical advocate, liaison, promoter, and representative. Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the AMO will assist in developing collaborative relationships with Affiliates, universities, colleges, and other key stakeholders.
Responsibilities :
Assists the CEO/CMO to:
Recruit departments of emergency medicine to join as NARAP Affiliates.
Strategize effective ways to develop and administer the RA programs
Values a positive and welcoming approach to change that fosters innovation and growth
Convey recent and relevant information to the (program directors) to develop trainings to use with RA"s on, conducting participant enrollment for studies
Relay up-to-date information between the CMO, National Affiliate Director, and Regional Directors to move the program forward
Advocate at colleges and universities for Pre-Health professional student participation as RAs at NARAP Affiliate sites.
Promote and represent NARAP to prospective stakeholders
Serves as a liaison between organizations, such as the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (NAAHP), regional advisor associations, NARAP Affiliates, and their associated academic institutions.
Represent NARAP as a nonprofit in the industry group conferences, professional associations, and other public venues.
Promote internal efforts towards building a strong portfolio as research partners for prospective Affiliates
Prepare and manage budgets,
Manage day-to-day administrative tasks
Set up conferences and make a strategic plan to maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders.
Directs and supervises the National Affiliate Directors and provides them/her the resources necessary to move the RA program forward.
