Join our team of 'Movers' Fresh Start Furniture Bank

Fresh Start Furniture Bank is a charity that gives gently used furniture and household goods to people in need. We have volunteers sit with our clients and virtually shop for the items they need. Our MOVERS retrieve the furniture, place it on a wheeled, flatbed cart and load it into their vehicle.

Position: Movers

Details: Movers work in a 2-person team to retrieve and load furniture/household goods into the clients vehicle. We use a cart to transport the items from the warehouse to the vehicle. Movers also help bring new inventory into the showcase rooms.

Training: is done on site

Open Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:45-12:30 and Saturdays from 8:15-12:30.

Qualifications: Ability to bend over and push and lift furniture onto a rolling cart with assistance. Ability to work with people from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, languages, gender, age and lived experiences. Willingness to learn Fresh Starts software. Ready to commit to at least one day of the week.
