Change a Child's Story as a CASA Volunteer!

CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide volunteer advocacy and support for at-risk children and youth, empowering families to thrive. CASA Volunteers are trained to advocate for children who have experienced abuse and neglect, as well as for children who are chronically absent from school.

CASA Volunteers ensure that the child's physical, mental, and emotional needs are being met, and that they have the opportunity to thrive in a safe and permanent home. For kids struggling in school, CASA Volunteers work to identify barriers to attendance, access community resources, and improve the student’s attendance and academic success.

CASA Volunteers are ordinary citizens, like you, doing extraordinary work. They establish stable relationships with at-risk children, getting to know their unique story and making informed recommendations to the courts on their behalf.

Each year, CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties serves 450 children in our local community.

Children with a CASA Volunteer are more likely to find a safe, permanent home, more likely to succeed in school, and half as likely to re-enter the foster care system.

Potential CASA Volunteers complete an online application, interview, and a comprehensive pre-service training. We offer one virtual training class per year. Successful CASA Volunteers are mature, empathetic, collaborative, and confident. They have an ability to problem-solve and have strong written and verbal communication skills. No special background, work experience, or education is required to become a CASA Volunteer. We encourage individuals from all cultures, professions, and educational backgrounds to volunteer.
