Art Studio Intern/Assistant

Hi!

I am currently searching for a volunteer with an interest in the arts to assist in my art studio in Historic Kenwood. I have an upcoming exhibition to prepare for and a few commissions to complete and its always a bonus to have an extra set of hands in the studio. Plus its an excellent opportunity to work with/learn from a professional artist. As a disabled artist certain tasks requiring fine motor skills prove to be difficult and having a helping hand from time to time is incredibly useful. Come grow as an artist, be exposed to adaptive techniques, and make valuable connections in the art world!

Duties: Prepare surfaces (sand, base coat of paint), Apply varnish to finished works, Hang Artwork, Wash Brushes, Organize work space. Studio is located in the Historic Kenwood artist enclave.
