Position Summary

Daisy's Legacy is seeking an organized and people-focused Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, onboard, manage, and support volunteers across our programs.

This leadership role is responsible for helping build a strong volunteer team, coordinating monthly volunteer meetings, conducting volunteer interviews, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring volunteers feel supported and engaged.

Responsibilities

• Review volunteer applications and conduct interviews
• Help onboard and train new volunteers
• Organize and lead monthly volunteer meetings
• Coordinate volunteer assignments and team placement
• Maintain volunteer records and contact information
• Identify staffing needs across programs and initiatives
• Support volunteer recognition and retention efforts
• Work with program leads to recruit volunteers for specific roles
• Help develop volunteer policies, procedures, and resources
• Foster a positive and collaborative volunteer culture

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
• Comfortable conducting interviews and managing teams
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Experience in volunteer management, human resources, customer service, nonprofit operations, or leadership roles is a plus but not required
