Join a Scientific Advisory Committee at Voices for Animal Welfare (VfAW)

Voices for Animal Welfare (VfAW) is forming a series of honorary advisory committees made up of passionate individuals, from recent graduates to seasoned professionals, who are eager to contribute their expertise to ethical and inclusive animal welfare. Our work prioritizes cross-continental collaboration, with a special focus on partnerships between Africa and Europe.

We are currently inviting applicants with experience or a strong interest in scientific fields such as veterinary medicine, ethology, wildlife conservation, One Health, or animal welfare science.

Advisory members provide expert advice and help shape our programs, research, and advocacy. They promote ethical and culturally respectful animal welfare and support collaboration between Africa and Europe. We welcome both experienced professionals and new voices who bring fresh ideas and global perspectives. Committee members can also help with advocacy, outreach, and fundraising as part of their volunteer work. Members may be invited to participate in virtual meetings or help lead workshops to share their expertise and support capacity-building within VfAW and its partners.

This is a remote, part-time volunteer position (unpaid) open to applicants anywhere in the world.

Estimated time commitment: 5 hours/week, flexible and remote.
