Seeking Hospice Volunteers in Newport, Rhode Island!

If you have a passion for caring for others and are looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of hospice patients, consider becoming a hospice volunteer! Our volunteers are an important part of our hospice care team, helping to improve the quality of life for our patients, their families and their caregivers.

We are looking for great volunteers that are willing to assist in various capacities. Training is provided and volunteers are supervised by a volunteer coordinator and supported by other members of the patient care team.

Hospice Volunteers can:

• Offer companionship & socialization
• Play/listen to music with patients
• Playing chess, cards or board games
• Knitting or scrapbooking
• Providing support at time of death (vigil support)
• Veteran to veteran visits
• Administrative tasks (bereavement phone calls/mailings, data entry, and more)
