Since 2000, volunteers from all over the world have been participating in our summer programs designed to help improve the vegetable farm in a Children's Home in Mongolia. However, between 2014-2018 they decided to discontinue their farming activities due to the lack of human resources and the unavailability of farming land. In 2017, we managed to rent farming land for the Children's Home, and they resumed their farming activities on this new land. As a result, our cooperation with their farm restarted in 2018. One of the main roles of the international volunteers will be assisting with the farming work at the Children's Home.
The main works include planting vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, radishes, etc. at the eco-farming camp and organizing leisure time activities with kids from the Children’s home. Volunteers may also work on other tasks such as making fences to protect the farm, etc.
Project dates:
Location: Buhug is 45 km from Ulaanbaatar. The site is just unbelievably beautiful, typical Mongolian plain.
