Adult Day Program Activity Assistant with United Disability Services of Akron

Basic volunteer duties involved with this assignment:

1. Assist adults with disabilities to fully participate in program activities
2. Activities may include reading, arts and crafts, gardening, games, music, hobbies, work production, etc.
3. Assist staff in preparing and cleaning up activities

Basic volunteer qualifications involved with this assignment:

Interest or experience in working with adults with disabilities. Patience, compassion, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

What specific skills will the volunteer need?

Some standing and walking. No lifting. Available to volunteer a few hours during weekdays.
