South Project is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering young moms through mentorship, resources, and community support. We are seeking a Community Outreach & Mom Recruitment Lead to help recruit and sign up moms to participate in our mentorship program through in-person outreach in the Dallas, TX area.
This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, compassionate, and passionate about connecting moms with life-changing support. You will be the face of South Project in the community—sharing our mission, building trust, and helping moms take the first step into our mentorship program.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct in-person or remote outreach to connect with moms at community centers, events, churches, schools, and partner organizations in Dallas.
- Share information about South Project’s mentorship program and assist moms with sign-up and enrollment.
- Build relationships with local organizations and referral partners serving mothers and families.
- Represent South Project in a warm, professional, and welcoming manner.
- Track outreach efforts, interest, and referrals.
- Provide feedback to the team on community needs and outreach opportunities.
Time Commitment:
- Remote until program begins then in-person role based in Richmond, TX.
- Flexible schedule.
- Estimated 5–10 hours per week (may vary based on events and outreach opportunities).
What We're Looking For:
- Passion for empowering women and young moms.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable engaging with people in person and starting conversations.
- Reliable, organized, and community minded.
- Experience in outreach, community engagement, or advocacy is a plus (not required).
- Bilingual skills a plus.
