Volunteer App Developer

About Us:

Educated Girls Rock (EGR) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women through education, mentorship, and leadership development. We are currently building an online community platform.

Role:

We are seeking a Volunteer App Developer to help us build a downloadable mobile application (iOS/Android) version of our online community website. This app will provide members with secure access to mentorship connections, messaging features, and educational resources directly from their phones.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the web development team to align the app’s design and features with the website
• Develop and test a user-friendly mobile application for both iOS and Android platforms
• Ensure data privacy and security across all interactions
• Provide technical guidance or documentation to support app maintenance

Skills Needed:

• Experience with React Native, Flutter, or similar cross-platform tools
• Understanding of backend integration and APIs
• Passion for education, mentorship, and empowering girls and women

Time Commitment:

Flexible – estimated 5–10 hours per week. This can be a remote volunteer role.
