Volunteers will assist within our hospice department, based on Volunteer preference and availbility.
Some opportunties available are:
- One on One Visits provide company and companionship to hospice patients
- Phone Calls to Family & Loved Ones - Make phone calls to loved ones of current patients and recently passed patients
- Vigil Visits - support patients who are nearing end of life
- Support with our Memorial Services - Attending the service, assisting with mailing invitations to family members, collating the program, setting up for the services, plus other opportunties
- Assist with Hosting Events - Attend/Plan/Organize different hospice events, such as birthday gatherings, Veteran events; also assisting with the Annual Volunteer Luncheon
- Participate with 'Make It Happen' events - Fulfilling patients wants and wishes, whether that be a trip to the casino or a family gathering for a birthday or more
- Provide Music Enrichment Provide any type of musical entertainment to patients
- Pet Visits - Bring 'Good Citizen' Certified and above pets on site for a visit with our patients
- Respite visits - Help a patient's family by providing support and companionship while the family runs errands, attends events or appointments, etc
