Save the Marginalized invites passionate international volunteers to support a transformative women’s empowerment training program in Kamuli District, Uganda. The volunteer will work directly with local women to build practical income-generating skills such as tailoring, crafts, agribusiness, savings groups, and small enterprise management. Through hands-on mentorship, the volunteer will help women strengthen financial literacy, value addition, marketing, and sustainable business practices that increase household income and long-term resilience.
example is Amina, a single mother from Kamuli who joined our training with no steady income. After learning soap-making and basic bookkeeping, she now runs a small business supporting her children’s education and employs two other women.
Volunteers will co-design trainings with community leaders, mentor women’s groups, and contribute to sustainable poverty eradication. This is a unique opportunity to create lasting impact while learning from resilient women and vibrant rural communities.
