Enhabit Hospice is looking for compassionate volunteers to provide comfort care to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and to what types of activities you want to do.
There are many ways hospice volunteers can help. For example, a volunteer can run errands for the patient and their family, play games, sing or read with the patients, deliver flowers to patients celebrating special events, relieving caregiver to attend church or go to doctors' appointment or to simply let them know we care, and walk the family pets. If you have a creative edge, Enhabit Hospice has opportunities for volunteers to make photo albums for patients and their families, to assist patients in writing letters to loved ones, or to help the patient journal.
