Position Summary

Daisy's Legacy is seeking a motivated Event Organizer & Community Outreach Volunteer to help make our 2nd Anniversary Celebration a success. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys event planning, community engagement, fundraising, and building relationships that support a meaningful cause.

Applicants must be located in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area and available to attend and assist at our anniversary event on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM in Arlington, Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Promote the event through community outreach and networking
• Invite attendees and help increase event participation
• Identify and contact potential sponsors and community partners
• Solicit and organize auction and raffle donations
• Coordinate event logistics and volunteer activities
• Assist with event setup, guest experience, and event operations
• Help spread awareness of Daisy's Legacy's mission and programs
• Support fundraising efforts benefiting animals in need

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable reaching out to businesses, sponsors, and community members
• Reliable and able to meet deadlines
• Passion for animal welfare and community service
• Experience in event planning, fundraising, marketing, or outreach is helpful but not required

Impact

Funds raised from this event support Daisy's Legacy's efforts to help dogs, cats, and other animals through rescue assistance, advocacy, education, emergency support, and community programs.
