United Way Suncoast’s Sulphur Springs Resource Center is one of our placed-based initiatives nestled in the Sulphur Springs community where we deliver services with dignity. These services include career readiness, case management, a computer lab, faxing and copying, legal advice, access to food resources, and so much more.
We are looking for volunteers to support the center through the below Administrative & Support Responsibilities:
- Reception Coverage: Provides reception coverage as scheduled, ensuring a welcoming and organized front desk experience.
- Administrative & Clerical Support: Offers comprehensive support to clients and staff, including faxing documents, scheduling appointments for clients, and answering phone calls to connect clients to appropriate services and resources.
- Computer Assistance: Assists clients and staff with basic computer tasks, troubleshooting, and navigating digital resources in the Resource Center.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrates the ability to solve routine problems within standardized policies and procedures. Capable of interpreting a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or schedule form.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the Resource Center, including the computer lab, kids’ corner, and community spaces.
Schedule & Availability:
- Volunteer shifts are Monday-Thursday from 9am-12pm or 12pm-3pm, although volunteers are welcome to sign up for both shifts if their schedule allows.
- We ask interested volunteers to commit to at least two shifts per week since training and guidance on the above responsibilities would be provided.
