About the Role
Sync with God small groups guide learners through biblical formation, spiritual practices, and practical discipleship using our online learning environment on Pathwright. As a Remote Online Small Group Leader, you will shepherd a cohort of learners through a structured Sync with God course—creating space for community, accountability, and transformation.
This role is ideal for mature believers who love mentoring, guiding discussion, and helping people walk more closely with Christ in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities
Community & Relationship Building
- Foster a warm, encouraging, and safe online environment for all group members.
- Welcome new participants and help them feel connected from the start.
- Build relational rhythms that support openness, reflection, and spiritual growth.
Group Facilitation
- Lead weekly online gatherings (typically via Zoom or similar platform).
- Encourage thoughtful discussion based on the weekly Sync with God lessons.
- Help participants process biblical truths and integrate practices like Scripture meditation, journaling, and prayer.
- Guide the group through the assigned learning steps on Pathwright.
Mentoring & Spiritual Guidance
- Provide individual check‑ins or brief one‑on‑one support as needed.
- Model Christlike humility, listening, encouragement, and discernment.
- Pray regularly for group members and the work God is doing in their lives.
Course & Platform Engagement
- Stay familiar with the content of the Sync with God course(s) you are guiding.
- Engage with learners on Pathwright through comments, messages, and feedback.
- Encourage timely completion of lessons, reflections, and exercises.
Administrative & Team Collaboration
- Communicate regularly with the course coordinator or coaching team.
- Track attendance, participation, and basic progress metrics.
- Participate in leader training and ongoing development opportunities.
Qualifications
Spiritual & Relational
- A growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Humility, compassion, and emotional maturity.
- Comfortable praying with and for others.
- Demonstrated ability to gently guide, mentor, or disciple others.
Skills & Experience
- Strong communication and active listening skills.
- Experience leading small groups, Bible studies, or mentoring relationships (preferred).
- Ability to facilitate discussion and keep a group on‑track.
- Confidence using online tools—including video conferencing and basic LMS functionality.
Technical Needs
- Reliable internet connection.
- Familiarity with—or willingness to learn—Pathwright.
- Ability to navigate digital communication tools (Zoom, email, messaging).
Time Commitment
- Typically 1–2 hours per week for group meetings and prep.
- Plus light engagement on Pathwright throughout the week.
- Duration varies by course length (often 4–12 weeks).
