Volunteer Opportunity: Digital Workspace & File Organization Specialist (Project-Based)

Collaborative Community Housing Initiative (CCHI) is a nonprofit organization creating an inclusive cooperative housing community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As we prepare to open CCHI Commons, we are strengthening our internal systems so our staff and volunteers can work more efficiently.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented volunteer to help organize and optimize our organization's digital workspace. This is a project-based volunteer opportunity that will have a lasting impact on our team's productivity and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Review and organize our shared digital folders and file structure.
• Create a logical, easy-to-navigate folder hierarchy.
• Audit and update user permissions to ensure appropriate access.
• Add users to the correct permission groups and shared folders.
• Remove outdated or duplicate permissions.
• Recommend best practices for file organization and document management.
• Document the new folder structure and permission system for future administrators.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience administering Google Workspace
• Familiarity with shared drives, permissions, and access management.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate progress clearly.
• Experience with nonprofit organizations is a plus but not required.

Time Commitment

• Project-based volunteer opportunity.

Location: Remote, with occasional virtual meetings as needed.
