Description:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Volunteer Photographer to help capture the emotion, energy, and storytelling of HerStories: Beyond Silence, an International Women’s Day event uplifting immigrant women, Yazidi survivors, Iranian women, and domestic‑violence survivors.
Responsibilities:
- Photograph speakers, panel discussions, art installations, and attendee interactions
- Capture candid moments that reflect resilience, community, and empowerment
- Take high‑quality images of the art exhibition and remembrance wall
- Deliver edited photos within 7–10 days (flexible)
Ideal Volunteer:
- Experience with event or documentary photography
- Trauma‑informed approach and respect for survivor boundaries
- Comfortable working in low‑light and gallery settings
- Able to work independently and with our event team

We are looking for a dedicated Volunteer Videographer to document our storytelling, panel conversations, art exhibition, and overall atmosphere at HerStories: Beyond Silence. Your work will help us amplify the voices of survivors and immigrant women across our community.
Responsibilities:
- Film key programming: survivor stories, author talk, panel, art components
- Capture short b‑roll clips of attendees, artwork, and community elements
- Optional: Conduct brief testimonial interviews (if participants consent)
- Provide raw footage and/or a short highlight reel after the event
Ideal Volunteer:
- Experience with event videography
- Ability to record clear audio in a busy environment
- Sensitive to capturing survivors ethically and respectfully
- Collaborative and able to follow the event flow
