Role Summary:
The Volunteer Event Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and execution of the Foundation's hybrid benefit event on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 2:00–5:00 PM PT, while helping strengthen event planning processes for future fundraising and community engagement initiatives. This role will coordinate both virtual and on-site event activities, ensuring seamless logistics, communications, volunteer engagement, and attendee experience before, during, and after the event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate planning activities for the Foundation's hybrid benefit event on Sunday, August 16, 2026 (2:00–5:00 PM PT) and support post-event follow-up activities.
- Assist with event timelines, project plans, and task tracking to ensure key milestones are achieved.
- Coordinate communications with speakers, sponsors, partners, volunteers, vendors, and attendees across both in-person and virtual components.
- Support event registration, venue logistics, virtual platform coordination, scheduling, and attendee engagement.
- Collaborate with fundraising, marketing, partnerships, and operations teams to deliver a seamless hybrid event experience.
- Help document event processes, lessons learned, and recommendations to support future Foundation events and ongoing community engagement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Background in event planning, project management, communications, nonprofit management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating in-person, virtual, or hybrid events, conferences, webinars, or community engagement activities.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid, fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting nonprofit fundraising events, benefit galas, conferences, or hybrid events.
- Familiarity with event registration, virtual event platforms, and collaboration tools.
- Experience working with volunteers, sponsors, or community partners.
- Passion for sustainability, climate action, and supporting mission-driven organizations.
