This is an ideal position for a Production Associated Producer who has a strong interest in virtual video and editing production. Practical assistance to program & helps ensure that shows run as smoothly as possible. Valued as a competent behind-the-scenes leader, ensuring production is executed smoothly and efficiently. The following is a listing of interests, skills and knowledge the ideal candidate should possess for the Production Assistant. If production assistant has a creative idea to make the radio program better, he/she is encouraged to speak up and share; there are no bad ideas. This is a volunteer or internship position.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, adaptability, enthusiasm, determination, perseverance
• Willing to learn new things, be teachable/coachable, have a sense of humor.
• Valued as a competent behind-the-scenes leader, ensuring production is executed smoothly and

  efficiently.

• Journalism/media communication studies and skills/experience a plus
• Personable and confident manner.
• Broadcast media communications with emphasis on radio production assisting and editing.
• Experienced skills in post-show editing a must.
• Experience or studies in video virtual recording, editing and or Radio production is required

Responsibilities:

• Manage technical and administrative tasks.
• Practical assistance to program to help ensure that shows run as smoothly as possible.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Ability to work well with organizational and administrative skills to provide support in the development production of local and national PBS TV programing and radio/podcast shows.
