Group Volunteering Opportunities with Housing Works

For over 25 years Housing Works has been providing lifesaving services to New Yorkers living with and affected by HIV/AIDS and homelessness.

Housing Works' services include housing, mental and physical healthcare, job training, legal counseling, and advocacy - more than 30,000 homeless and low-income New Yorkers living with and affected by HIV/AIDS have been provided with a comprehensive array of services since 1990.

Housing Works has volunteer opportunities for groups of all sizes at our shops, events, and offices. We welcome matching donations from corporations as well! Our shops can accommodate volunteer groups of up to 30-35 participants and are arranged with a simple process in advance, even on short notice.

Our volunteer groups have a great impact on shop operations in many ways:

• Group Projects at Housing Works Thrift Shops: When we arrange a volunteer day for your group of dedicated volunteers, our staff will prepare a list of tasks for your volunteer group participants to engage with around our shops.
• Housing Works Special Events: At our fundraising events, our volunteer groups are truly valued for how much they can contribute. Our volunteers serve as much valued help with event set up and staff support, performing a variety of tasks as needed.

Volunteers like you help power the mission at the core of Housing Works: providing lifesaving healthcare, supportive housing, job training, and advocacy for New Yorkers living with and affected by HIV/AIDS and homelessness. We simply could not do this work without you.
