About LGBT Voice Tanzania
LGBT Voice Tanzania is a nationally recognized human rights organization dedicated to advancing equality, protecting the rights of LGBTQ+ people, and amplifying community voices across Tanzania. Through legal support, emergency response, community education, and global advocacy, we work to ensure safety, dignity, and freedom for LGBTQ+ Tanzanians.
💻 About the Volunteer Role
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Website Makeover Volunteer to give our website a fresh, modern, fast, and user-friendly look. Your work will significantly improve how our organization is perceived globally — and strengthen our ability to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights.
This is a short-term, high-impact volunteer role ideal for someone passionate about web design, SEO, and digital optimization.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Redesign and modernize the entire website layout.
- Improve site speed, performance, and overall functionality.
- Optimize for full mobile responsiveness.
- Handle basic SEO setup and improvements.
- Introduce new pages where needed.
- Update and rewrite content as necessary for clarity, accuracy, and engagement.
- Implement a fresh visual style that aligns with LGBTQ+ brand aesthetics.
- Review and improve current Astra/Elementor setup or recommend better solutions.
⭐ What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience with WordPress (required).
- Familiarity with Elementor, Astra, or similar themes/builders.
- Understanding of UI/UX, website structure, and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and deliver within a 2-week timeline.
- No prior LGBTQ+ advocacy experience required — technical skill is enough.
