Grant writer volunteer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Volunteer Grant Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in securing funding that will support our various programs and initiatives. As a Volunteer Grant Writer, you will research, draft, and submit grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and other funding organizations. Key Responsibilities:

• Research: Identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and other funding sources that align with Synapses' mission and programs.
• Proposal Writing: Write compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents, tailored to the requirements of each funding opportunity.
• Collaboration: Work closely with program managers and other team members to gather necessary information and insights for proposals.
• Submission: Ensure timely submission of grant applications and track their progress.
• Follow-Up: Assist in follow-up communications with funders and provide any additional information or documentation as required.
• Reporting: Support the preparation of progress and final reports for funded projects, ensuring compliance with grant terms and conditions.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, or a related field.
• Skills: Excellent written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
