Discord Community Server Leads

Time Commitment: 1–2 hours per day

Location: Remote / Discord-based

The Discord Community Server Leads plays a key role in guiding and supporting our online community as part of We Are Artistic’s youth-led mission. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, people-centered, and passionate about creating safe, positive digital spaces for young creatives. You’ll oversee day-to-day community operations, mentor the moderation team, and help ensure our server remains welcoming, inclusive, and aligned with our values.

✨ Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and support a small team of moderators and admins
• Select, interview, and onboard new moderators and admins
• Oversee daily server activity to maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive environment
• Address community concerns with clarity, empathy, and fairness
• Coordinate regular check-ins with the mod/admin team and offer constructive, encouraging feedback
• Uphold and model community guidelines, healthy communication, and youth-centered values
• Collaborate with organizational leadership to ensure the server reflects We Are Artistic’s mission and culture

🎨 Qualifications

• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Experience with online community management, youth leadership, or moderation (Discord experience preferred)
• Ability to provide supportive, clear, and emotionally intelligent mentorship
• Comfortable managing multiple tasks and guiding others through them
• Commitment to youth-centered, inclusive, and respectful community culture
• Passion for creating safe, welcoming digital spaces for young people
