    The Donovan’s Venom is growing.

    Programs are expanding.

    Opportunities are increasing.

    We are seeking a Grant Strategy Liaison to ensure every grant we pursue is aligned, intentional, and positioned for success.

    Because funding isn’t just about applying.

    It’s about choosing the right opportunities—and winning them.

    The Role

    This role serves as the bridge between strategy and grant execution.

    You will evaluate opportunities, align funding with organizational priorities, and ensure every proposal tells a clear, consistent, and compelling story.

    You are not just reviewing grants.

    You are shaping how the organization secures funding.

    This role operates at the intersection of strategy, funding, and storytelling, ensuring grant efforts contribute to long-term growth and sustainability.

    What You’ll Own

    Grant Strategy & Alignment

      • Develop a strategic approach to grant funding aligned with:
      • Organizational priorities
      • Programs and initiatives
      • Growth goals
      • Ensure grants pursued support long-term impact

    Grant Opportunity Evaluation & Prioritization

      • Review and assess grant opportunities based on:
      • Strategic alignment
      • Funding potential
      • Organizational readiness
      • Prioritize high-impact opportunities
      • Avoid low-value or misaligned pursuits

    Messaging & Narrative Alignment

      • Ensure consistency across:
      • Grant proposals
      • Marketing materials
      • Donor communications
      • Strengthen storytelling and positioning
      • Ensure proposals clearly communicate impact

    Program & Funding Alignment

      • Partner with program leaders to:
      • Identify funding needs
      • Align programs with grant opportunities
      • Ensure proposals accurately reflect program goals

    Grant Pipeline Visibility & Coordination

      • Support visibility into:
      • Grant opportunities
      • Submission timelines
      • Outcomes
      • Partner with Salesforce and RevOps to track activity
      • Maintain organized and accurate pipeline data

    Cross-Functional Coordination

      • Serve as liaison between:
      • Strategy
      • Grants
      • Marketing
      • Programs
      • Ensure alignment and communication across teams
      • Support coordinated proposal development

    Proposal Strategy Support

      • Provide input on:
      • Proposal focus and positioning
      • Alignment with funder priorities
      • Support Grant Writer in strengthening submissions

    Grant Performance & Insights

      • Analyze outcomes:
      • Success rates
      • Funder feedback
      • Identify trends and areas for improvement
      • Strengthen future grant strategy

    Donor & Grant Alignment

      • Align grant strategy with donor engagement efforts
      • Ensure consistent messaging across funding channels
      • Support unified funding approach

    Process Development & Standardization

      • Build processes for:
      • Evaluating opportunities
      • Coordinating across teams
      • Aligning messaging
      • Improve efficiency and consistency

    Continuous Improvement & Strategic Growth

      • Identify new funding opportunities
      • Stay informed on funding trends
      • Recommend improvements to increase success rates
      • Support long-term sustainability

    Who This Is For

    This role is for someone who:

      • Thinks in strategy, alignment, and impact
      • Can evaluate opportunities with a critical lens
      • Understands how funding connects to mission and growth
      • Is a strong communicator and collaborator
      • Can influence decisions without direct authority

    Qualifications

    Required

      • 3–5 years of experience in:
      • Nonprofit strategy
      • Grant coordination
      • Fundraising or related roles
      • Strong understanding of:
      • Grant funding processes
      • Strategic planning
      • Organizational alignment

    Preferred

      • Experience with grant proposals or funding strategies
      • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
      • Experience working across multiple teams
      • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

    Commitment

      • 8–12 hours per week
      • Flexible schedule (with cross-functional coordination)
      • Participation in strategy and grant planning discussions required
      • Fully remote
