Enfield Loaves & Fishes is a local area Soup Kitchen providing hospitality to all those in need by offering meals, aid, and companionship at no charge. We serve Enfield, CT and surrounding areas. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, incorporated in 1983.

Our purpose is to feed and aid the disenfranchised. Enfield Loaves & Fishes provides nutritious food, aid, and comfort to make a difference in the lives of individuals who live with food insecurity.

Enfield Loaves & Fishes serves every meal with dignity, respect, and compassion. We believe food is an inalienable right and serve it in an environment that recognizes the humanity and worth of each member of our community.

As a Soup Kitchen Volunteer, you will provide support for food preparation and pantry.

This is an in-person role averaging 5 hours per week. Hour include Prep:11 am - 2 pm.

Serving: 3 pm - 5 p:30 pm.

Prep Duties include:

• working with kitchen manager & volunteers
• sorting donations
• Storing donations
• Food Prep-washing, chopping etc.
• Clean: sweeping, mopping, & sanitizing

Serving Duties Include:

• work serving line-provide trays and meals etc.
• Dish Room-includes dishwasher
• assist guests with items from giveaway room
