"Every person can make a difference, and every person should try." - John F. Kennedy
Elara Caring is looking for compassionate volunteers who want to make a difference to provide respite care for our patients and their caregivers. What is respite care? Respite care is simply being present with a patient so their caregiver can leave the house to run errands, attend events, or take time for themselves while knowing that their loved one is in good hands. As a respite care volunteer, you will not provide any direct patient care. You are there to keep the patient company and make sure they are safe until the caregiver returns. Respite volunteer visits are important because they help prevent caregiver burnout and assure that our patients stay safe.
Please take the lead and contact me if you are interested in this opportunity. The hours are flexible. If you have a busy schedule (don’t we all), that’s okay! Take a leap, you won’t regret it! Volunteer Coordinator, Kate Lankey, would be happy to help connect you!
