    ABOUT PROTECT US KIDS FOUNDATION (PUK)

    Protect Us Kids Foundation safeguards youth globally from exploitation by predators who use cyberspace as a tool for harm. Through education, awareness, and technology-driven solutions, we equip young people with the knowledge and resources to stay safe online. Our collaborative approach, including training, advocacy, and strategic partnerships, focuses on fostering secure digital environments and empowering communities to combat cybercrime.

    THE ROLE

    Protect Us Kids Foundation (PUK) is seeking a highly motivated and visionary leader for the role of Vice President of Health Affairs. This is a Board-level unpaid volunteer position responsible for overseeing and advancing the Foundation’s Health Affairs Program. Reporting directly to the Founder, this position plays a critical role in addressing the health, well-being, and safety of children and youth impacted by online exploitation and commercial sex trafficking.

    The Vice President will lead efforts to facilitate partnerships with social services, behavioral health, and mental health organizations, bridge victims to critical resources, and promote access to emotional, psychological, and physical support. This individual will also actively fundraise, leverage their professional network to secure resources, and ensure the program’s sustainability while aligning with the Foundation’s broader mission.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

      1. Strategic Oversight:
      • Develop and lead the strategic direction of the Health Affairs Program, ensuring alignment with PUK’s mission and goals.
      • Establish and maintain partnerships with social services, behavioral health, and mental health organizations to support affected children and youth.
      1. Victim Support Coordination:
      • Oversee efforts to bridge victims to vital resources, including emotional, psychological, and physical care services.
      • Facilitate access to counseling, therapy, and peer support initiatives for victims and their families.
      1. Awareness and Advocacy:
      • Promote understanding of the health impacts of online exploitation through awareness campaigns and community engagement activities.
      • Represent the Foundation at public forums, conferences, and events to advocate for resources and policies addressing child health and safety.
      1. Training and Education:
      • Design and deliver training programs for child protection professionals on addressing the health and safety challenges associated with online exploitation and trafficking.
      • Support educational initiatives aimed at building community capacity to provide trauma-informed care for victims.
      1. Fundraising and Resource Development:
      • Actively participate in fundraising activities, commit to an annual member contribution, and leverage your network to secure funding and sponsorships.
      • Identify grant opportunities and collaborate with donors to ensure program sustainability.
      1. Board Collaboration:
      • Attend quarterly Board meetings and collaborate with other Board members to advance the Foundation’s mission and goals.
      • Provide regular updates on program progress, challenges, and outcomes.
      1. Program Evaluation and Reporting:
      • Oversee tracking of program impact, including partnership collaboration, victim support services, and community outreach metrics.
      • Ensure accurate reporting and continuous improvement of program initiatives.

    WORK EXPERIENCE

    • Proven experience in health program management, social services coordination, or public health advocacy, with a strong preference for international or global project leadership.
    • Expertise in trauma-informed care, victim support services, or mental health program leadership, particularly in cross-cultural or global contexts, is highly desired.
    • Demonstrated ability to secure funding and build relationships with diverse, international stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, and multinational organizations.
    • Exceptional communication, program management, and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work effectively across different cultural and geographic regions.
    • A commitment to the mission and values of Protect Us Kids Foundation, with a passion for addressing global health disparities and supporting underserved communities worldwide.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

      • Actively participate in fundraising activities, including identifying funding opportunities and leveraging personal and professional networks to secure resources.
    • Board meets monthly (12x/year) virtually, with flexibility in attendance and options for program-based updates or asynchronous contributions.
      • Dedicate approximately 8-10 hours per month to program-related activities, including collaboration with stakeholders, program development, and advocacy initiatives.
      • Represent the Foundation at events, conferences, or forums, either virtually or in person.
