Graphic Design Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative Graphic Design Associate to help small businesses bring their ideas to life and thrive in the marketplace. In this role, you will create compelling visual designs that enhance existing brand identities or build new ones from the ground up, ensuring that each client’s story is communicated clearly, consistently, and creatively. This position provides hands-on experience in graphic design and offers a meaningful opportunity to support HCMG’s mission of empowering underrepresented small businesses within the communities we serve.

What You’ll do:

• Design brand identities and logos.
• Create marketing collateral for print and digital platforms.
• Develop content for social media platforms.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure brand consistency across all design projects.
• Design and format materials using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Build templates for recurring design needs.

Qualifications:

• Recent undergraduate student or graduate.
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, Illustration, or related fields preferred.
• Must have proficiency in Canva and Adobe Illustrator.
• Fully remote — no travel required. Preference for candidates located in New Jersey.
• No prior experience required — all are encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills (Preferred, Not Required):

• UI/UX Experience.
• Experience with website design and platforms such as Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, or GoDaddy.
