Youth Engagement Workers work with young people aged 5-25, encouraging them, providing them with support and helping them to achieve their potential. The primary focus of youth work is on the personal, SOCIAL, cultural and educational development of young people in the community.
The majority of youth work projects are designed to help disaffected youths with social problems, who live in communities that are affected by crime, unemployment and anti-social behavior. Youth workers may also, on occasion, provide help, support and guidance to youth as young as 5, and as old as 25.
Youth Workers support the Community Youth Councils, Scholastic Endowment Quest, Teen Talk Roundtable, Youth Advisory Board, Performing Arts, Music Programs and related programs.
This is not a remote/virtual position the preferred candidate will live/work in the Chicagoland area.
