The Longest Day Committee: Central & Western Kansas

Calling all Social Butterflies, business professionals, retirees, students and more!

The Longest Day is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. On June 21, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through an activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Join our Volunteer Committee to help recruit participants, provide coaching on fundraising and event planning, and spread the word about this exciting event. We’ll help you find a role that fits your interests, skills and schedule. The meetings will be once or twice a month and very flexible! For now all meetings will be virtual.

Use your passion to advance the cause.

There are lots of ways to use your interests and skills to advance the cause - and have fun doing it! Once you join the committee, select a focus that best fits you:

• Recruitment
• Marketing & Outreach
• Engagement

Responsibilities:

• Attend monthly committee meetings.
• Promote The Longest Day in your community and social media.
• Register for fundraising activities and recruit others to join you!
