General Clinic Volunteers Needed

Good Samaritan Clinic of West Volusia is looking for General Clinic Volunteers to join our team!

Bellow is a list of some volunteer opportunities. The list is not exhaustive, so please tell us about your unique skills or how you would like to support our mission under the interest section of the application!

Volunteer Opportunities:

• Triage
  • Welcome patients, take and document vitals, communicate with doctors
• Reception
  • Answer phones with enthusiasm and information (need morning availability most)
• Qualifying
  • Interview patients, confirm financial and residential documents, enter date into our system
• Translating
  • Communicate with patients and doctors when there is a language barrier (usually Spanish)
• Handyman
  • Clinic upkeep as needed
• Event-specific
  • Help with set-up/teardown, logistics, and media during events throughout the year (gala, etc.)
• Social Media Assistant
  • Help Tracy with any social-media related work as needed
    • Instagram, Facebook, Newsletter (manage newsletter database)
• Grant Research
  • Find new applicable grants, obtain necessary info and write narratives, complete follow-up with processes
• Fundraising/Marketing
  • Brainstorm/execute fundraising/Marketing ideas
• Outreach/Collaboration
  • Communicate with other organizations to foster partnerships, reach out to churches to arrange speaking engagements to raise awareness of clinic, brainstorm new ideas
• Volunteer Recruitment/Coordinator
  • Recruit new volunteers, walk them through clinic processes and paperwork, keep tabs on their attendance and communicate as needed
  • Manage contracts for Department of Health
  • Data entry and organization of volunteer hours
