Be a Festival Volunteer for the 2026 Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival!

Join us as we prepare the 2026 Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival!

We are looking for a team of dedicated, film-loving volunteers to help us in a number of key roles as we organize the 44th edition of Flickers. We are New England’s largest film festival, and have had 98 titles go on to be nominated for Oscars with 15 wins. With films and filmmakers coming from all around the world, RIIFF serves as an important meeting ground for the international film community. This year, we plan to showcase 250 titles from an entry pool of over 7,000 entries representing over 110 countries. So, this might very well be your chance to meet the world's next generation of independent filmmakers! Our volunteers are crucial to the success of our festival every year, and they serve as ambassadors of the festival to our visiting filmmakers and audience.

Festival volunteer roles include: managing festival venues, working the box office, assisting with panels, events, workshops, and screenings, ushering guests, facilitating with technology, or helping with web design or event photography/videography.
