Patient Care Volunteers offer companionship, play music and games, read to patients and help in other meaningful ways.

Volunteers visit VITAS patients to provide specific, non- medical care through socialization and friendly visits. VITAS Healthcare provides comprehensive training and orientation for hospice volunteering on communication skills, family dynamics.This training also includes how to make a positive difference for patients and their caregivers.
