Honoring Veterans in CT: Veteran to Veteran Hospice Volunteers

AccentCare, formerly known as Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care is looking for volunteers who have a heart for Veteran issues and end of life care. As a member of the We Honor Veterans Program through the NHPCO (National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization) and a part of the Hospice Veteran Partnership in Connecticut, AccentCare is proud to honor and serve our Veterans in Connecticut at such a sacred time. We also welcome family members and friends who have a heart for Veterans.

AccentCare volunteers provide companionship, emotional and spiritual support, and often reminisce with our Veterans from WWII, the Korean War Conflict, Vietnam, Dessert Shield and Desert Storm, and others. Our volunteers can be seen replacing lost medals, supporting a Veterans Recognition Ceremony, and so much more. Orientation and training are required and is provided free of charge. The time commitment for volunteering is flexible and based on the individual's availability.
