Hospital Volunteer

AdventHealth is looking for volunteers ages 16+ to serve alongside us who share our passion for helping others. By volunteering, you’ll brighten someone’s day —and in return, discover a renewed sense of purpose, meaningful friendships, and the deep joy that comes from giving back. We offer a wide variety of non-clinical roles in clinical and non-clinical settings for all abilities and experience levels – no experience needed.

Examples of patient-facing roles: greeting, wayfinding, visiting with patients, rooming or checking them in, transporting them via wheelchair, pet therapy, etc.

Examples of roles in non-clinical settings: gift shop, spa, clerical duties, stocking supplies, delivering mail/ supplies, etc.

For students, it’s a great way to earn scholarship hours, explore what it’s like working in healthcare, enhance your resume, and network.

Choose from 10+ hospitals and other locations throughout Central Florida. After completing an online orientation and application, you'll meet with your volunteer manager who will match you with a role in line with their interests. Training is provided as well as a free meal each day you volunteer. We just ask for a minimum commitment of six months/four hours per week (this is flexible).
