This Open House event will offer ways to learn about the three "tracks" of volunteering with Loveland Open Lands & Trails:
Stewardship: Raptor monitoring, habitat restoration (native plantings, weed removal, seed collection, clean-ups), trail maintenance, pollinator garden care, and citizen science projects.
Public Outreach: Nature cabin docent team, trail host program, event booth staffing, "natural areas after dark" program support, leading or assisting with guided walks (wildflowers, birds, geology etc).
Education: Environmental education field trips for grades K-5, monthly preschool environmental education programs (PEEPs), "clue table" staffers for Critter Scene Investigations, history tours, and other programs.
Drop in to this no-obligation session and chat with current volunteers and Open Lands staff about these opportunities. All volunteer training and materials are provided free. Come learn how you can help your local natural areas and your community.
