Join us and you can there when the magic of discovery happens, when girls find that they can do more than they knew they could. When they catch the wind and fly solo on a windsurf board, get back into the kayak after they capsize, and discover all of the fun they can have in a canoe when they work as a team and you can help them find their inner pirate.
If you volunteer, we will teach you basic water rescue and you can learn the crafts along with the girls. Spending a week (or 2) on the water is a great way to pass the summer.
While we require that everyone wear a PFD (personal floatation device) when they are within 10ft of the water, we do require that folks can swim.

Use the right lane to turn left onto CO-8 E
Turn right onto Kumpfmiller Dr and the entrance to Bear Creek Lake Park.
Show the gate person your gate pass
Turn right and then Turn Right, following signs for the boat launch area.
Cómo participar como voluntario(a) en esta oportunidad
Fill out the adult volunteers form on the boating camp website, and I will get you in touch with the Girl Scouts to get membership (for insurance purposes) and a background check.
