As a Childhood Educator Volunteer, you support children in their learning and emotional development through creative, playful, and structured activities. This role fits people with experience in education, early childhood development, social work, psychology, yoga, arts, or youth work.
🛠 Responsibilities
- Supporting daily activities with children
- Creating playful learning experiences (art, movement, reading, games)
- Assisting with emotional regulation and social skills
- Helping design workshops or classes
- Supporting safe, nurturing environments
- Working alongside local educators respectfully
🎓 Skills & Requirements
- Background or interest in education, childhood development, psychology, social work, arts, or similar
- Experience with children preferred
- Warm, patient, trauma-aware approach
- Creativity and flexibility
- Spanish or willingness to learn basic Spanish
- Commitment to child protection and ethical volunteering
⏳ Time Commitment
- Minimum stay: 2 weeks
- Schedule: mo-fr 9-12 and 14-17 hrs.
